- The Client & Sector: The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF). Charity & Government.
- The Brief: My introduction to the IWF happened through a commission from Broadly Vice magazine. They requested atmospheric modern office portraits for an article (available here) featuring Harriet Lester and the Foundation’s mission to combat child sexual abuse content online. The style I developed for the Broadly Vice project became the look I later shot for staff portraits.
- My Approach: To shoot such modern office portraits I blended natural light with a studio strobe soft-lighter and used office details and architectural features to give portraits variety and visual interest. Expressions leant towards neutral, with the focus being creating mood. I’ve shot for the IWF over many years and a challenge is to keep adding variety to the ongoing staff portraits using the same office spaces as the shooting location.
- Finished Work & Outcomes: Internal staff portal usage.
