- The Brief: High-end and striking watch photography for various product ranges and new releases. Include white background pack-shots, creative hero shots, wrist shots and stylish lifestyle photography.
- My Approach: These commissions really test my product photography skills, but as a horology enthusiast (nerd), I particularly enjoy them. The watch photography process is slow, meticulous and very time consuming. Using a macro lens and tripod, many reflectors, diffusers and constant light sources, I implement a focus stacking technique to achieve crisp results. This means the edit portion of the job is significant. It certainly tests my patience and eye for detail, but I’m always thrilled with the results.
- Finished Work & Outcomes: My watch photography portfolios have been used on company websites, social media pages, in advertising campaigns and in print at trade shows.
