November 2018,

A month of everything I shoot.

The start of the month saw me with Westcott House in Cambridge.  I have shot for the college over a number of years as they like to keep their images fresh.  For two days and an evening, I shot staff portraits, college landscapes, general educational PR images and their 90th anniversary event!  Quite a whirlwind.

Conferences and corporate events took over for the rest of the month, the first of which was close to home at Downing College, Cambridge.  It was a fascinating  couple of days all about the future of artificial intelligence with some super key note speakers from the likes of Amazon Alexa and Ocado.  The conference dinner was held in the spectacular surroundings of Queen’s College.

The Agritch East REAP conference is one I’ve covered for a number of years running.  it’s always fairly high profiles with press/TV in attendance.  This year my brief was expanded to shoot a very long day and included a number of photo calls and portraits.

My second event of the month was a big one that took me to Belfast for a week.  I was shooting conference/event video with the Institute for Manufacturing.  The event was all about sustainable packaging and tied in with an online Disruptive Innovation Festival (DIF).  It was a high pressure job as I needed to shoot, edit and finish up the 30 minutes film in only four days!  Suffice to say, there were early mornings and late nights involved.  The finished film is streaming below:

Once I’d recovered from Belfast, I was straight back to events, but this time as a royal photographer!  I photographed HRH duchess of Cornwall’s visit to Addenbrooke’s hospital.  She was there to meet with patients and researchers interested in, or suffering from type1 diabetes.  She saw first hand a digital artificial pancreas.  Interesting stuff indeed.

Next month, it’s all about Christmas over at  I’ve got a few commercial jobs in the diary, but once my studio deadlines have passed, I’ll be kicking back with a mulled wine (hopefully)!
